This is the homepage for work towards new editions of the Epistles of Paul in Latin and Greek undertaken by the International Greek New Testament project and its collaborators.
It will provide a gateway to electronic transcriptions and other resources created during the course of the edition. (For similar resources on the Gospel according John, visit www.iohannes.com). XML transcriptions made by the projects are available below.
Several projects are contributing to the new editions, which are listed below together with their contributions.
The International Greek New Testament project
Transcription of Greek manuscripts of 2 Corinthians, Hebrews and the Catholic Epistles is currently in progress by volunteers and student transcribers. To volunteer, please contact us by e-mail. For the initial selection of manuscripts for the Pauline Epistles in the ECM, please see this published article.
Many of these transcriptions have been produced as part of the CATENA project at ITSEE, Birmingham (CATENA: Commentary Manuscripts in the History and Transmission of the New Testament", funded by the European Union Horizon 2020 Programme under Grant Agreement 770816 between 2018 and 2023).

Collation of Greek Manuscripts of Romans
The initial collation of the 152 Greek manuscripts selected for the ECM of Romans was released in April 2024. It was produced as part of the CATENA project (CATENA: Commentary Manuscripts in the History and Transmission of the New Testament", funded by the European Union Horizon 2020 Programme under Grant Agreement 770816 between 2018 and 2024).
Collation of Greek Manuscripts of Galatians
The initial collation of the 202 Greek manuscripts selected for the ECM of Galatians was released in November 2021, with updates in September 2022 and November 2023. It was produced as part of the CATENA project (CATENA: Commentary Manuscripts in the History and Transmission of the New Testament", funded by the European Union Horizon 2020 Programme under Grant Agreement 770816 between 2018 and 2024).
Collation of Greek Manuscripts of Ephesians
The initial collation of the 131 Greek manuscripts selected for the ECM of Ephesians was released in January 2024. The GALaCSy project
Jointly funded by the UKRI Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) and the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) this project is undertaking research into the earliest translations of the Pauline Epistles between 2022 and 2025.
The partners are the University of Birmingham, the Akademie der Wissenschaften zu Göttingen (ADWG) and the Institut für neutestamentliche Textforschung, Münster (INTF).
